SO! it's anti-bullying day...

It's where a pink shirt to support anti-bullying day. Another day put forth to recognize we have a problem in our society that we need desperate helpe with. I think it's great to have days of recognition as well as assemblies held at the local schools to talk with the students about this extremely important matter. The biggest problem is that it can't stop there, it has to be discussed in the home as well as have support staff outside of the home in case an issue arrises that further help is needed.

This is where we lack, we can have all the meetings, commercials, television shows etc. about it, however, nothing will change if our support system doesn't change. I've been very lucky with my girl, in that she has been fairly easy to get along with. Don't get me wrong she has had moment and I've nipped them in the bud ASAP so it didn't continue. I've seen and know of parents waiting for years to have their children meet with counselors and psychiatrists and once they do get in get a half hazard answer or look into non-needed medications. Take tonight or the next opportunity to sit down with your child and discuss matters daily if you don't already it will mean a lot to the both of you.
