Don't you think it's high time you put yourself before anyone else in regards to your mental well being. Isn't it time you took things to next level and decided that what other people Say or do only matters if you want it to. Think things through, if there's something you want to do or not the decision is yours and the only person you have to answer to his yourself. If you're not healthy and and not taking the steps to get better the people around you will suffer just as much as you do, maybe even sometimes more. Worry about number one, first keep yourself healthy including a positive mental attitude.
I say this as coming out of a state of anxiety or depression and looking back, there are steps I could have taken which would have changed my outlook on life in general and set me up for a mor successful past 10 years. Don't get me wrong, I've not only had the worst 10 years of my life due to health issues but also done of the best moments as well.
How is this possible you may ask? Well I met and married my amazing wife and we have a beautiful 7year old daughter. I hate to say it but had it not been for them and my family, the lows I hit at the worst of times would have swallowed me whole.
Today I awake with a whole new outlook on life, with my body glowing from the inside out. It is filled with love, hope and meaning. I am lucky in most aspects of my life, most importantly that I have a close family in both sides. I have friends that although we have not spoken in awhile I know at anytime I can pick up the phone or visit without being scrutinized. In the end though you have to choose to want this for yourself, if you do this everything changed for the good!! Need a change? Make it happen for yourself and don't wait for it to fall in your lap!
Great post! As someone who has suffered and still does daily, the healing only began when I forgave those who have hurt and still hurt me and began to realize that I can not control their actions and will not let them hurt me. I can only control my own and how I react to them. You are very right about making the change for yourself!
