"I'm worth it", when was the last time you have said that to yourself and actually meant it? I can tell you that I have not done it in a long time!
I hear from time to time from females saying "what a good husband I am" or "wow I wish my husband was like that or did that." My answer of course in my head is, "why is your husband not like this?"
A little background here... I am a 36 year old very happily married man with a 7 year old daughter. I have been brought up with strong family values and do my very best to instill them into my daughter. My wife has been in a depression for years and off on medical and myself fell into one almost a year ago. Our daughter is raised knowing absolutely none of this as we do everything possible to shield this from her.
This is where my resolution comes as you don't need a new year to make one, and it's a tall order! "I AM WORTH IT", I will no longer take the small things for granted. I will work on a healthy exercise and diet ritual to get back to looking like the me I once knew. I will try to release the anxiety held within though some sort of meditation. Most of all... I want to be as happy as I once was and the way others still see me. I have not lost touch with the love and compassion I have for others, however, I lost sight of it for myself.
Have you said "I'm worth it" today? I have, and I am!
